Probably the most epic pony fan work out there! Even if you are unfamiliar with the Fallout games (like me), it is in and of itself one of the best reads out there. Quite gory form time to time, but if you can handle that, a definite must-read!
While reading the story for the second time, I sketched the map as the story progressed. That was many months before I started to make the digital map above. I might have gotten some details wrong as a result, and a few details are missing too, like the SPP towers.
Please post a comment on any correction or addition you can think of (preferably with a reference to a chapter), and I will update the map accordingly.
To do:
- add name Ironshod Firearms factory (and check the name)
- mirror the map to have Canterlot on the left side of the mountain (not sure, quite a lot of work)
- StableTec HQ looks weird
- move the name 'Luna Line' to a better spot
- Add Philidephia SPP tower (was there also one at Manehattan?)
- Add Stable 1 in Canterlot

Isn't that short for Shattered Hoof? If not, maybe you can give me a chapter number? (I'm actually re-reading FoE right now)

I have only read about maybe 35 chapters of Horizons, a long time ago. But I do vaguely remember the name now. The beginning was really good, but, I don't know exactly why, but at some point it stopped grabbing my attention, so I put it down.

The only problem I see. When you see Canterlot above Ponyville in the show, it is on left side of it's mountain, but here it seems to be on it's right side. Great picture anyway.

Trouble is, in the story Canterlot is </i>very</i> far away from Ponyville. There are half a dozen towns and even more landmarks in between, and quite a bit of travel time. I'm not so sure Canterlot is even visible from Ponyville in that story......?

It could be visible if the mountain is high enough. But no matter. I believe in alternate realities (even in relation to our universe), so FO:E could be happening in reality, which, apart from other differences, has Canterlot on other side and/or other mountain.
Were you trying to put it with some kind of official map from Hasbro, or you just go with what was in the book and nothing else?

No, I just made a sketch of the map while reading the story for the second time. That map turned out to be a bit linear (as in: next town always laying behind the last, though there were a few exceptions such as Appeloosa) so I wrapped it around a big mountain a bit to make it look better.
