Standard Sata Ahci Controller Driver Windows 81 Amd

Jan 21, 2014 - It surprised me to see that the Microsoft Standard SATA AHCI Controller driver sometimes outperforms (at least in this benchmark) the AMD. May 21, 2014  A Windows 8.1 x64 install on my board receives a MS AHCI driver not an AMD driver. Today I tried updating to the AMD driver with resulted in a BSOD so I restored from an image file. Install of the AMD ACHI driver to Windows 7 x64 on 700 series South Bridges would also fail but there was a known work around by editing the INF file. How do i install AHCI drivers in windows 8 x64 after OS install? Hello I have this issue with AHCI drivers on windows 8 x64. Select the SATA controller. This page contains the driver installation download for Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller in supported models (FMVA553BWF) that are running a supported operating system.

Hello,
I have the Maximus V Formual which has the Intel Z77 chipset. I just did a clean install of Windows 10 64Bit.
Sadly I did NOT find much drivers on Asus website, in particular the SATA drivers for the Intel SATA Controller. In device manager I have listed under IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers category the following 3 entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.
Without the proper driver, performance and functionality is limited, correct?
Any suggestions where I can download the Intel SATA Driver for Windows 10?
Thank you

The package provides the installation files for AMD SATA Controller Driver version 1.3.1.276.
If the driver is already installed on your system, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix various issues, add new functions, or just upgrade to the available version. Take into consideration that is not recommended to install the driver on Operating Systems other than stated ones.

About SATA / AHCI / RAID Driver:

When you install an operating system, SATA settings (be it AHCI, RAID, or IDE mode) are detected from the BIOS. If you want to change from one mode to another after the OS has been applied, appropriate drivers are required.
Bear in mind that if you modify these settings without installing proper files first, the operating system will not be able to boot until changes are reverted or required drivers are applied.
To perform the latter task, get the package, run the available setup and follow the instructions displayed on-screen for a complete installation. Afterwards, perform a system reboot so that all changes take effect, enter BIOS menu, and set the SATA option to the mode that best describes the newly applied drivers.
So, if you intend to modify the SATA settings to the mode described by this release, click the download button, and make the desired changes. In addition to that, don’t forget to constantly check with our website so that you don’t miss a single new release.

Standard Sata Ahci Controller Driver Windows 81 Amd Version

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver.
Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
